Hello Durban!
Herholdt’s new branch opening in Durban, will be Chris’ new home. If you can’t find him in the office, you can find him at his favourite restaurant, The Beach House, most likely enjoying a dessert.
Chris Bekker started working at Herholdt’s Group as a youngster, right after school in 2007. He has been part of the “Herholdt’s Tribe” for fifteen years and is still going strong!
Working hard, he made his way up to sales manager of the Bloemfontein branch and will soon be moving to the new branch opening in Durban as the branch manager. It is true – hard work pays off.
What are you excited about in your journey with Herholdt’s and what has been your favourite experience so far?
'Knowing how much I have grown in myself, from a store man to sales and from sales to sales manager and now a branch manager. This would not have been possible if it were not for the opportunities that Herholdt’s gives. My favourite experience was seeing Herholdt’s grow, from one branch to two and now – eight branches throughout South Africa.'
You are moving to Durban as the new branch manager, how are you feeling?
I feel incredibly privileged, it is an amazing opportunity to be part of Herholdt’s history, and I will keep aiming high and make it a success. I am also sad about leaving my Bloemfontein tribe, where I have lain my footprints over the past 15 years (and 3 months). But we’re all just a branch away!'
