After observing the renewable energy sector since the early 2000s, it became evident to Peter that it will only be a matter of time before quality of products (especially with regards to storage) and pricing will converge to create a favourable and attractive opportunity in the renewable market. Solanergy’s engagement with Solar MD since their early beginnings and their emergence into the local market paved the way and provided the perfect foundation for Peter to create a unique turn-key installation service in the Western Cape, establishing Solanergy in April 2016.

Renewable energy is the future, and the growing market is making it more affordable. This gave Peter and his team the ability to source the most cost-effective solar systems for both residential and commercial customers and thereby lowering their electricity costs. By offering a complete range of EPC services (engineering, procurement, and construction) Solanergy delivers and installs only the best quality products, ensures the correct sizing of every system and week after week, they have been adding battery back-up to existing solar PV systems. To optimise solar usage and investment value, Peter suggests full Hybrid inverters, which allows the customer to split essential and non-essentials.
