Build Your Dreams with Sigenergy Competition

Presented by Herholdt’s Group and Sigenergy terms and conditions

Information on how to enter Build Your Dreams with Sigenergy (“Competition”) and prizes (“Prize”) form part of these terms and conditions. By entering the Competition, participants (“Participants”) agree to the terms and conditions as per the competition Organizers (“Herholdt’s Group and Sigenergy”).

Competition Dates

Starts: 15 September 2025 to 30 September 2026. 

Commissioning Count: 01 October 2025 to 30 September 2026. 

Herholdt’s Group will contact the winner by means of the contact information provided on before 30 September 2026.

It remains the responsibility of the Participants to provide Herholdt’s Group with their correct and up to date contact information. If Herholdt’s Group is unable to contact a winner within seven (7) working days of first notification, the winner will forfeit the Prize, and Herholdt’s Group reserves the right to recalculate or redraw a new winner under the same conditions of the Competition regulations.

1. Divisions and Dream Prizes up for grabs
   1. Division 1: Residential Installer Division - The Residential Installer prize is a BYD Dolphin Standard.
   2. Division 2: C&I Installer Division - The C&I Installer prize is a BYD Shark.
   3. Division 3: C&I End-User Division - The C&I end-user prize is a BYD Shark.
       
2. Vehicle Delivery and Ownership
   1. The vehicle will be delivered to the Herholdt’s Group branch closest to the winner. The winner will be responsible for collecting the vehicle from the designated branch at their own cost and arrangement.
   2. Herholdt’s Group will cover the costs of vehicle registration and ensure the vehicle is registered in the winner’s name prior to collection.
   3. Herholdt’s Group will not be held responsible for insurance, warranties, guarantees, servicing, maintenance, or any other obligations once the vehicle leaves Herholdt’s Group premises and passes into the winner’s possession.
   4. Delivery to the designated branch will occur as soon as reasonably possible after the competition concludes and all required administrative processes are completed.
      
      Please note that: 
      -    No Participant will have an automatic entitlement or any entitlement whatsoever to any Prize. Prizes are awarded at the sole discretion of the Organizers in accordance with these Competition terms and conditions
      -    The organizers cannot guarantee the colour of the vehicle, which will depend on what is in stock and available from BYD.
      -    Herholdt’s Group and Sigenergy branding must remain on the vehicle for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of receipt of the Prize.  Herholdt’s Group reserves the right to request photographs of the vehicle or to conduct unexpected visits during this twelve (12) month period to enure compliance to this specific rule.
       
3. Eligibility
   1. The Competition is open to citizens of the Republic of South Africa who are 18 years of age or older, except for members, shareholders, directors, employees (and their respective life partners, business partners, and immediate family members) of Herholdt’s Group and Sigenergy.
   2. The competition is open to registered installers and end-users who meet the entry requirements outlined below.
   3. Only installations completed and commissioned within the competition period will be considered.
   4. All installation serial numbers will be verified against Herholdt’s Group records. Any installation containing a non-HG serial number will be disqualified from the competition.
       
4. Divisions & Entry Criteria
   1. Residential Installers:
      • Eligible installations: Sigenstor/V2 systems only.
      • Each one (1) qualifying installation that is commissioned successfully counts as one entry into the digital draw.
   2. Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Installers:
      • Eligible installations: Sigenstack systems only.
      • Entries are calculated at one (1) entry per megawatt-hour (MWh) of installed capacity, consequently for example if a specific installation measures 5 MWh of installed capacity, the registered installers will receive five (5) entries. 
      • All entries will be entered into the digital draw, as determined solely by Herholdt’s Group.
   3. Commercial & Industrial (C&I) End Users
      • Minimum qualifying installation: 1 MWh capacity.
      • The site with the largest installed capacity (per MWh) during the competition period will be declared the winner.
         
5. Prize Allocation
   1. Prizes will be awarded per Division as outlined above.
   2. Winners of digital draws will be selected electronically at random on a platform to be selected solely by Herholdt’s Group.  This draw will be selected Live. We thus will have no control over who the system randomly and electronically chooses as the winner. By entering the competition, the applicants accept this and indemnify Herholdt’s Group against any claim for harm or damages in this regard.
   3. The C&I End User Prize will be awarded based on the site with the highest qualifying installed capacity.
       
6. Publicity and Content Use:
   1. Winners must be available for the preparation of all publicity that may be required by the Organizers.
   2. By entering the Competition, the winners confirm and approve that the Organizers can announce the winners on their social media platforms and websites.
   3. By participating, Participants give consent to and grant Herholdt’s Group and Sigenergy exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, and videos in connection with the Competition and for future promotion and marketing purposes, and waive any claims to royalties, rights, or remuneration for such use. This includes future marketing material in print and digital media formats.
   4. Competition entries become the property of the Organizers, who will keep the personal information stored regarding the Participants confidential, will only use it for the determined lawful purpose, and will not disclose it to third parties in accordance with the POPI Act. 
   5. Participants agree to receive marketing emails from Herholdt’s Group and Sigenergy containing marketing, news, industry trends, offers, and developments as deemed suitable to their interests. Participates will have the opportunity to opt-out and unsubscribe from every email that is sent out by the Organizers.
       
7. Liability
   1. The Organizers will accept no responsibility or liability for any Participant’s inability to enter, complete, continue, or conclude the Prizes due to equipment or technical malfunction, incorrect contact numbers, misspelled email addresses, or otherwise. It is the Participants’ responsibility to ensure that any information provided is accurate, complete, and up to date.
   2. The Organizers take no responsibility for, and the Participants hereby indemnify the Organizers in totality from any claims from any person relating to or arising from any accident-related injury, property damage, loss of life, or any Acts of God or Force Majeure or any other instance whatsoever relating to the Prizes, that may occur.
   3. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organizers will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential damages) or for any personal injury arising from Competition entry or Prize winnings.
       
8. Disqualifications:
   1. If a winner is disqualified under these rules, a replacement winner will be selected.
   2. The Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any individual at their sole discretion for any reason they deem fit and reasonable and who breaches any of these terms and conditions, acts in a fraudulent, dishonest, or disruptive manner, or is involved in any way in interfering with or tampering with any part of this Competition.
       
9. Modifications and Termination:
   1. The Organizers reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions, either wholly or in part, including the right to cancel this Competition, in such a manner as they deem fit, without prior notice or reason to the Participants. The Participants indemnify the Organizers in totality from any claims from any person as a result of the amendments of these terms and conditions or the cancellation of this Competition. 
   2. The Organizers will, however, endeavour to timeously inform Participants of any modification to these terms and conditions or of the cancellation of this Competition. 

The Competition terms and conditions are binding by law. By entering the Competition, Participants agree to the terms and conditions issue by the Competition Organizers.
